New Years Day MTB Ride

Thanks to Matt Westlake for volunteering to drive his van to the top and set up to serve the munchies.
All bakers, chefs, contributors of fine food and beverages are encouraged to contribute your finest for this fun ride.  Please bring any contributions to Performance Cyclery on Saturday so I can load them in the auto going to the top.  Post ride food and beverage is also encouraged!! We will be parked in a place that is great for hanging out and socializing.
DATE:  Sunday January 1st, yes that is New Years Day
RIDE TIME:  10a.m. (plenty of time to recover from the previous night)
PARKING:  Plenty of space on the Old Ridge Route at Sandberg.
Map:  Click Here For Map
DIRECTIONS: From Castaic drive north 22 miles on I5 to Hwy 138, go east for 4 miles and turn right on The Old Ridge Route Road, continue up the hill for 3 miles to the historical Sandberg Hotel marker.
ROUTE: Cruise the Old Ridge Route for a few miles, up the fire road, up Golden Eagle to the end of the trail to where the munchies will be.  100% Single Track descent... yeee haaaa! Depending on how fast you ride, eat, & socialize, "about" 3-4 hours.
Questions?  Call Kirk at Performance Cyclery 661-254-4008
or my cell 661-993-7597
or reply to telaneus@msn.com

More stuff: Four of us rode the trail Tuesday morning, single track bliss!!  Saturday should bring rain which will make the terra firma on this trail perfect for Sunday morning.  The weather on Sunday should be good, bring warm clothes for hanging at the top.  See you there.
