The last Full Moon before the Winter Solstice. DATE:Thursday December 15th
RIDE TIME: On the bikes and rolling at 6:15 P.M. sharp for everyone. We will not be waiting for late arrivals. Please arrive early and be ready to roll at 6:15.
PARKING: Park across the street from the entrance to Sierra Pelona fire road. (It is the same place we parked for the T-day ride, we are not doing the full ride we did on T-day)
DIRECTIONS: From the intersection of Bouquet Cyn & Valencia it is about 10 miles North on Bouquet Cyn to Sierra Pelona. Watch for the fire road on the right side of the road (it is easy to miss) and park on the other side of the road. Adventure passes are required, but I have been parking here for many years and have never received a citation.
ROUTE: Climb Sierra Pelona to the Rowher Ridge Trail cutoff. The climb is "about" 7 miles. The way back we will take the Rowher Ridge trail and then continue to the Bouquet Trail and cruise back the road to the cars. About a total of 2 hours.
