G.E. needs the brush cut back. Surprise!  I'm going up there this Sat. May 1 with my cordless hedge trimmer to do some trimming.  I'm bringing my loppers too.  If you want to come, bring your bike and your tools and I'll haul you to the top so you can ride down after some brush work.  If you ride up from the bottom of the trail, trimming as you go, I'll pick you up at the 1st crossing or the middle bail out and take you to the top.  I'm driving my truck up and hiking into the worst spots.  I'm not riding this time but I'll be glad to take other trail workers and their bikes for the ride back down after hacking some brush.  Let me know if you're in.  BTW, the trail is in great shape except for some ruts in places, and the flowers are all over the place.  I'll be at the Sandberg site at 8:30 a.m.

I rode it on 5/15 and it's in good shape.  Still close brush but nothing that will knock your helmet off or take chunks of flesh of your limbs!  It's drying out fast so ride it soon before the summer heat really kicks in.  When are you working on 5 Deer?  If I'm home, I'll come help.  I'll be gone to Utah/Colorado for a week starting Friday (school's out) but I'll be available after that.

Nice to see some action on this board.  I remember doing trail work on GE and 5 Deer with about 10 guys from this site.  WHERE IS EVERYBODY?
