YOU GOT IT.
FIXING LAST MUD SPOT TOMORROW AT BOTTOM OF OLD SECTION BEFORE IT POPS OUT...YOU KNOW WHAT SECTION IF YOU RODE IT.
PUTTING PIPE FOR DRAINAGE AND SANDBAGS ON TOP SO IT WONT GET MUDDY AGAIN.
THERE IS GETTING A GREAT LINE AND IT IS PACKING IN WELL. I AM VERY HAPPY HOW IT IS TURNING OUT.
THANKS FOR NOTICING.

That "last mud spot" got me good on Saturday! I didn't see it since it was pretty well camoflaged and I hit it at speed - splattered the heck out of me and my bike. My son just about crashed since he was laughing so hard. Great trail thats getting better!

I fixed that last mud spot yesterday with a drain pipe and eight sand bags. it should not puddle there anymore as we dug a hole for the water to collect before it gets there. The sand bags should fuse the dog poop dirt together once it hardens.
The drain pipe should take care of the rest.

I WANT to ride!

Ok this was my 1st ever time down this trail and all I can say is OH MY GOSH! What a BLAST! 5 of us went for an MTB ride after a mens breakfast at chruch today, Saturday! AND all I can say is WOW! We are all VERY experienced riders and have ridden at Castaic many times. We had never done this trail so we decided to "Give It A Rip" and we all had grins ear to ear! I was leading and came to a section that was at the crest of a steep climb and just dropped steeply off the otherside! I had nothing to say or time to react except to say "Oh my gosh" and just decided to throw the Ellsworth right down that drop off! I thought the guy chasin me would follow but when he heard say oh my gosh he turned right & directed the other 3 following him right also!

You guys did an EXCELLENT JOB on that trail! THAT! is going to be my ONLY Castaic downhill for a LONG time!THANK YOU!

To those of you that know the trail well: Do you know the section with 3-4 fairly steep Whoops? Anyhow there is a manmade mountainbike park in South Carolina that was fully constructed with a small Bobcat tractor. The trails are loops anywhere from 4-8 miles each. They are constructed on the slopping terrain of the Savannah River! Since there is no elevation per-say they have been able to design the frails to do that Whoop-like design but with longer breaks! Well it always feels like one is going downhill! It is a trip!THANKS!

Thanks for the compliments...we are going out on wednesday june 8th at 10am meeting at corrals to do trail clearing and possibly fix one bridge. If anyone can help call me at 805-338-9696.
I am bringing my weedwacker and trimmers and Tom has some tools for brush clearance. Any help would make the job much easier so we can then ride after.
