Monde Productions this weekend officially launched its coverage of the 2009 Tour of California. This year, the company is giving cycling fans a chance to contribute to their behind-the-scenes coverage of the event via a social network.

The Web 2.0 venture at http://blog.mondeproductions.com will feature live blogging from the TOC's sidelines along with areas for spectators to comment on each day's happenings. Visitors will get the inside scoop, reading about what crew members are doing as well as how they are doing it. In addition, fans can follow the crew's day-to-day grind minute-by-minute at www.twitter.com/ictvdotcom and suggest interview questions via e-mail to askthepros@insidecyclingtv.com.

The cycling social network accompanies exclusive behind-the-scenes webisodes covering all 9 days of the 2009 TOC available at http://www.mondeproductions.com/flash/index.html. Each 3- to 5-minute webisode will include commentary from riders about the previous stage, insight from the director of the strategy that shaped the outcome, spectator comments and technical background to bring fans even deeper into the sport.

Combined, the cycling social network and behind-the-scenes webisode series will offer fans the opportunity to be a part of the 2009 TOC from the comfort of their own personal computer.
