Nature Center/Pinetos Ride Report
« on: September 25, 2007, 06:05:27 AM »

I went up today to see what the damage would be from the storm, knowing the trail was shaped like a big chute, with nowhere for the water to escape because the trail is banked on both sides.
Wasnt too bad.....I raked the top three burms into a little shape, they were rutted out from the runoff. Should be much better than the dustpile they had become. The rest of the trail is a little rutted and has some loose rocks and landlides. A washout down the hill in a spot or two. Its gonna be a much better ride now. When they took out that little rockdrop and made the whole trail handicap accessable it took the character away. Now the rutt crisscrosses the trail after every corner and its rocky. Gotta pay attention now! After Walker Ranch its still wheelchair friendly...
Looks like the ST from the halfway gate that parallells the FR will need some work....
