Absolutely.

Have you riden the Plunge B4....It's an awesome ride.
Its a shuttle but there is a good deal of pedaling.

I have booked the shuttle already for the 5 confirmed.

If you or anybody else wants to do the Friday Plunge Ride You will need to call Mountain & River Adventures @ 800-861-6553 and book yourself on the 0830 shuttle by next Wednesday.
I beleive its $ 36.00 per rider.

They are looking into the possibility of shuttling us up to GreenHorn Summit on Saturday

I'm going to be at Camp James from 6/9 through 6/17 and I'm hoping to do J.O. and more. Are you going to stay over Saturday night too?

have not ridden that.  Have a heavy bike but have done straw peak, bulldog, etc on it.  How does the uphill compare?

I think most of us need to head home Sat Nite.

I dont think any of us have done J. O. b4.  Gonna try and do it Saturday,  Mtn River is checking on a possible shuttle for Sat.  Dont know if they can swing it, but if not, we can have a van that fits 7/7, we just need a ride back up to GreenHorn.

Any thoughts on J. O. for Sat?

Its a long cross-country ride for a bomber bike, an all mountain 30+ pounder would be fine.

Its bascally two laps on Strawberry with a really sweet payoff at the end.  Its not really a lot of elevation gain, its the combination of distance and altitude.  We will take breaks and have lunch at Cannell Meadows.

bring plenty of water, gels, bars, and a lunch
one camelbak should be enough water, there is a clean natural spring about halfway down, to fill up.

So close, but so far... I'll be checking into Camp James after noon on Saturday and it'll take a bit to set up, so Saturday is likely not going to work for us.

J.O. is first on my 'to-do' list but I don't know if a guide is needed to stay on the trail or not?

We're supposed to be in site #89 on the river. Red Suburban with a hard-side trailer that has three 'popouts' similar to those on a tent trailer.

Crap!!!

Just got off the phone with Mtn & Rivers.

The Winds have picked up and the fire is in Cannell Meadows allready!!!

The Sherman Pass Shuttles are Closed until further notice.

We could do two trips up Greenhorn Summit - Just Outstanding and some other trails up there....But if there is a huge fire up there, then there's a good chance there's a lot of smoke!

I suggest we Postpone this trip and do the SART on Friday!!!
