Yes, I'll be in Vegas/Zion in 2 wks and hopefully will get a ride in at Cottonwood/Bootleg and Gooseberry.  Any GPS course files would be greatly appreciated!

Do you really go down hill faster if you shuttle?

Started off the trip by hitting Gooseberry. Unbelievable ride!! Make sure to ride Hidden Canyon that cuts down the middle of the south and north rim.

1st ride in MOAB rode L.P.R. (Little Porcupine Rim) to Porcupine Rim. L.P.R. adds an additional 2000 feet of decent and you do not have to make the initial climb up to the Rim. I also thought that L.P.R. had some of the best ST and views of the whole trail. Shuttle run set-up by Coyote.

Day 2 Slickrock....What else needs to be said.

Day 3 Amasa Back (or Cliffhanger is you are one of them JEEPER'S). Awesome ride with great view, drops, and exposure!!! Saw a guy rack his nuts while trying to negogiate some obstacles. Pretty funny since he blocked my line trying to make the drop.

Day 4 Hiked Arches NP and drove back to Vegas.

Day 5 Rode Dead Horse Loop in Cottonwood. Kinda jaded thought after MOAB and Goose. Didn't not make Bootleg due to time and travel.

All in all I would spend more time in or near Saint George vs. Vegas...Lot's of great rides and the scenery is awesome.

Great resources are MTBR trail reviews and www.utahmountainbiking.com

Everybody raved about the ST in Fruita since Moab is mainly Jeep trial or slickrock. Next time!!
