Just happened to stumble onto this site while trying to gather some beta on the "JPL" ride. What do you know, a site that's focused on rides in my hometown. Great to see some homegrown vids' of the local trails. I used to ride daily and was into the ol' Bud Light series and the "Grapevine" trailclub, but I have lost a little of the fire, especially when I go to ride 5-deer and end up riding the side trail to stay out of the trenches and then nearly get decapitated from overgrowth. Watching those vids' that some of the riders made definitely provided some extra stoke to get out there. Great to see a new trail out here (PFL) also. I would love to hear from some fellow riders regarding new trails or plans to build any. There used to be some talk about a trail system surrounding the SCV that would eventually have campsites, etc. but I think the city became more interested in building softball fields and paseos. Appreciate any info.

Welcome to ClipdIn,
Come on out and Join in on a ride!!!

I don't know about any new trail building opportunities, but i think the city is still working on a trail system.  I heard that it might include some of the trail through Nature Center.

5 Deer, we have done a bit of bush-whacking out there, but the stuff seems to grow back quickly!!!

Thanks for the welcome. The "JPL" is off highway 2, in what I believe is considered the LaCanada area. The trail is over by the Jet Propulsions facility, hence the name. You can get the same info. I did off the Mtb trail review site. I ended up with a lot of conflicting info. regarding the trail and it's condition. Supposed to be a great ride, but it's not a local trail.

From JPL there are many options.

The most common route is up Brown Mt to El Prieto ST.

One of my favorites is...From the Parking lot at JPL to top of Lake, Up lower Merrills to Sunset to Millard to El Prieto, back to the cars.

For an Epic, you can ride up the Cyn to Switzer Falls and up to Red Box and then Back.

The Ken Burton trail and a few more options from JPL.

All pretty fun rides!!!

JPL parking...I use the lot at the end of Windsor for all of the rides out there.
