Trailhead: I5 to 138 west exit Old Ridge Route continue South on Old Ridge Route past Pine Cyn Road to the Old Sandberg Hotel Site Park in the dirt lot.

The Ride: Continue on Old Ridge Route for 2.75 miles to 7N14 to the East.  Climb 7N14 for 4 miles.  At the 6.8 mile mark look for a ST spur to the right.  Take the ST SE for approx 2 miles the main FR 7N14 again at 8.75 miles.  Continue East on 7N14 for .8 miles to 9.6 miles look for a ST crossing.  To the North for a longer out and back ST section to 12.2 miles and return to this crossing and continue on ST to the South to bring you back to the 8.75 mile mark ST back to 6.8 mile mark.  Crossing the fire road to continue on ST back to the cars.  At 20.3 miles you are back at the Old Ridge Route go right (N) back to the Old Sandberg Hotel.  21 miles

Sweet Conditions.  ST back to the car is a little bushy but the trail is in Smoking Fast condition.
Last Mondays rain packed the fireroad and cleared out most of the sandy spots.
Upper ST has a few downed trees to manuver.  Overall an Awsome 21 mile 70/30% ST/FR ride
