We Will Be Riding - 5 Deer Up & Down the ST - Thankgiving Day @ 0730

There is another Longer Ride for T-Day on the Bokay JT and Rowher Ridge....Find the one that works for You and RIDE!!!

I thought i'd open up the discussion.  I'm not going, i'm gonna be riding somewhere just west of Zion National Park in Utah...  Gooseberry Mesa to be exact.  But if I were, a rerun of last year would certainly get a thumbs up.

But then again, any ride is a good ride cuz it sure beats no rides!  wav

I am up for Either:

A Repeat of Last Years RIDE
(Double Shuttle: Camp 9 to Nature Center-Back to Camp 9 to VIPER)

OR

5 Deer....Up Near Deer and Down 5 Deer!!!

So whats the concensus.

Either works for me, 5 Deer is more riding, less driving.    Riding up the 5Deer ST is more fun than the other ST, but a little harder.
Kirk just posted a ride  thats basically Jump Trail witha bunch of FR extra credit  and some ST that parallells the FR for a section.   As far as riding  in a "group", this is the best bet......

I had a blast last year, doing the Camp 9-NC-C9-Viper as Mr PhatsoTyre mentions

Who joins in for our traditional, it-has-always-been-this-way- C9NCC9V ride!
I gotta bike rack for 4. 5 if we stack.

I dont mind riding there thurs. and sunday, its a really good ride.

so, dutchguy, if we dont shuttle, will you do 5deer thurs instead?

hey, I    think  we  ( me, dan, jose soto, guido(?) )   are gonna do Five Deer Thurs morn at 0730.

Most likely will ride    the    five deer single track up about half way to where some bushes need trimmed.  will only trim for 30 minutes at the most. if you hammer the ST up, you will need a break by that time anyhow!   Then we will continue the climb up to the ridge  and come back down the same way.

Will only do the trimming if at least four people commit to it.  The more we have, the faster it will get   done.

if anyone  doesnt have the urge to cut brush, or doesnt want to ride the ST, thats cool, we can all meet at the top.     If we dont have enuff help, we'll blow it off and just do the ride!

I'm confused; but then I'm an old guy so it could be alzheimer's!  Seems like we have dueling Thanksgiving rides and may be doing 5 Deer on Thurs, Fri and/or Sunday which may or may not include brush clearing.  There are too many "ifs" and "try too's" concerning these rides.  Again, I'm just a newbie lurker so I'm hesitant to make the call but somebody needs to!  I can do 5 Deer on any day with clearing tools on my back.  The other traditional Thanksgiving ride sounds like too much time for me.   So, Scottay, if you are definately doing 5 Deer on Thurs. I will be there at 7:30 but your last post doesn't sound for sure yet.  Please let me know.  If that ride doesn't happen, I will go with Phat Tyres on Friday.  I'm leaving Sunday open depending on what happens.  Please advise about further developments.
