"Old" Newbie just registered
« on: April 21, 2006, 09:00:37 PM »

Hi everybody.  I'm a 40ish (almost 50ish) mtb only rider living up here in Lancaster.  I stumbled on to your website while following a thread by Scottay on mtbreview a few weeks ago and just now remembered  to register.  BTW, Scottay, I used to work with your brother Jim at Littlerock High School.  We pm'd a couple of times on mtbreview.  I hope to get together with you all on some rides.  I do a lot of the same trails you ride and some others in Wrightwood and around the Antelope Valley hills.  I'm going to ride 5-deer tomorrow.  I'll ride from Bouquet and San Fransisquito at about 9:00 a.m. if anyone wants to come at the last minute.

Anytime any of you want to ride some trails up here, let me know and I'll join you.  Consider this an open ride invite!  I climb slow but I descend reasonably fast on  my Rocky Element so I won't slow you down much once I get to the top!

I'll check out the calander and ride invites and join you on some rides down there. I did Towseley Cyn several years ago but nothing else in your area.

Well, thanks for putting up this site and hopefully I can join you on some rides real soon.

I just figured out that I replied to the e-mail I got with your reply which didn't come from you so I'll reply to this too.  I'm somewhat technologically challenged.  Good thing there's a teenager in my house.

I was kidding about Jim.  He's a good guy.  Does he ride too?  Hopefully, we can get together for a ride sometime.  I did 5-Deer yesterday and it was great except for the low hanging brush which seems to get lower and lower.
