Do you really go down hill faster if you shuttle?

hey let us know the conditions this am.
probably muddy at the bottom and sweet at the top.

great job keeping the location hush hush.

we want the PFL ridden by locals and not over-run like towsley etc.

watch out for PIG GHOSTS

Bruce
The trail was great  blob8, nice-n-grippy  sunny, with a few small greasy spots.
Only one big mud pit on the climb but most of mud was actually in the low spots of the upper ST, not in the Canyon!!!
The one steep down was way grippier than the last time.  Its a lot nicer moist than the dry BB's under the tyres.
Cleaned all the climbs but the last 10 feet of that last one...just tacked me out!!!

I'll remove the map link if you want to keep it really private.  (let me know)

I think the steep hill climbs will keep the quick and dirty "Towsley's" away.
GPS data and Google Earth KMZ's if anyone wants them...I guess by request only, posting it would let the secret out. violent1

Question tho:  Does Mike Fowler prefer us to park in his yard parking area, or on the side of the road?  and should we be really quiet on Morning rides i.e. 8:30am?

Thank Again for the New Find  occasion14

Dan (PhatTyres)

PS.  Looks like they are getting ready to put cattle back in there, a new gate, now putting in a cattle grate?!!!  Any one Know, Mike?

I'll ask big mike when i see him later. but usually they are ok with a car or two parking near the volleyball net. best to park along the road though if it looks like theres a lot of cars.
the gate was put up by the other property owners in that area who are trying to keep squatters out. the bee farmers etc.

mtn bikes are okay. they left a small area open to the left.

yes, removing the map would be a good idea. I think any local who doesnt know where it is could always as Kirk at Performance or Roger at Newhall bike co. they both know it.
Mike just doesnt want it to become a destination for out of town ridders. theres plenty of local riders to keep the trail nicely groomed. thanks. bruce (ticky)

Matt,
no worries,
let us know if you need specifics but its the same place you would go to ride "fowlers ranch"
only you dont go right to climb the old loop, instead you stay left and climb the old semi-paved fire road. once at the top, with a view of texas canyon, go hard left and start climbing.

enough rain, godammit!
