Yeah, I agree the Reign is a great bike with bang for your buck components.

You might want to check out the Yeti 575...this has received great reviews.
Just a few from ebay...the second listing is a guy who can get you the Yeti you want with the components you want (I would try to negotiate a better price with him)....I have been shopping for a 575 just cant pull the trigger yet!!!

Yeti 575 Medium on Ebay

Yeti 575 s/m/l Race Disc Setup

I dont know any of these sellers, but I have contacted the second for a future purchase of the Pro Setup.

Hey Dave, Here's my two cents worth. I ride a 5" bike that weighs 24pds, yes it is cheating. I have a bike that the suspension isn't affected by braking or pedaling, & the braking isn't affected by the suspension. Depending on what Ellsworth Matt has, the same is true for his bike. All single pivot supspension bikes are affected by braking and pedaling. Hence my cheating by riding a bike that the suspension works 100% of the time.

Now here's the kicker, Sunday February 26th we're having our One Day Winter Blowout Sale at Performance Cyclery. You can buy a lightweight fully active 5" bike at 25% off. You can cheat twice! You also keep your business local and get a warranty.

Single pivots are easy to spot. If the axle is attached to the chainstay and there is no interuption to the pivot at the BB area, it is a shitty single pivot. All single pivots make the rear wheel follow an arc. It does not matter where the shock is and how many pivots are involved above the axle, the rear wheel still follows an arc. An arc will always be affected by pedaling and the braking will affect the suspension. Virtual pivots work different.
So why do so many manufactures produce single pivots?
There are no patent infringements and it is simple and cheap to produce.
After all is said and done, it boils down to riding.
