Strawberry Peak Backwards!

Well I did Strawberry Peak Trail BACKWARDS ...I Think. Started at the corner of Angeles Crest & Angeles Forest...Climbed up the fire roads to the Josephine saddle...then across the backside of the trail, climbed up to Strawberry & then down the other side to Redbox...We then did Redbox to Switzers & back up to the highway. Redbox to Switzers was fun & I was honestly not too impressed with the way the single track around Strawberry ran. Maybe it is because I did it backwards?? All in all it was a nice long ride & we did not see one other user on any of the trails we were on!

Thats the way I usually take it.  We were trying to figure out what it would be like going the opposite way but then you miss out on Red Box to Switzer's...which, with the way we ride it, is the only real payoff.  The Strawberry section is a pedaling cross country workout ride.

I couldn't agree more...without Redbox I would have come away sorta wondering "IF" I could ever be convinced to do it again!...maybe....
